We have seen some atrocities during this Ukraine-Russia war that are beyond horrific.
We all know war can be brutal, and heinous acts are committed.
But it would be tough to explain away or try to justify the actions taken against a recent POW.
Unjustified Torture
The United States gets in trouble for waterboarding people, so it is a bit difficult to understand how Putin is still walking around a free man with the war crimes that have been committed during this conflict.
Ukraine officials reportedly viewed a video where a Ukrainian POW was castrated while in custody.
The Ukraine Watch reported, “After the torture, he was shot dead and his body dragged through the streets on a rope.”
Ukrainian MP Inna Sovsun stated, “Russia has to pay for it. … The world can’t pretend like this isn’t happening.”
The way people seem to deal with these atrocities these days are to simply delete the video accounts of what happened.
And, sure enough, the internet has been wiped clean of the videos of this horrific torture.
John Spencer, the US Army veteran who chairs the Washington, DC-based Urban Warfare Studies, added, “I just watched the video showing Russian soldiers cutting off the genitalia of Ukrainian POWs.
“How do you unsee that?
“WTF are we waiting on to halt this evil?”
I have a few ideas, but I would probably get in more trouble for saying them here than the Russians did for chopping off that man’s goodies.
