They Just REJECTED Biden’s Demands

The State of Arizona has refused the demands of the federal government to remove the double-stacked shipping containers used to form a barrier to close gaps in the border wall constructed between Arizona and Mexico.

State authorities have indicated that they will not do so until the Biden administration arranges for the completion of the wall.

According to The Associated Press, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation sent Arizona officials a notice that the containers were placed in violation of U.S. law.

They demanded that no new containers be placed citing potential conflicts with two federal contracts that have already been awarded by the federal government to complete the wall and two which have not been contracted yet.

The new contracts pertain to filling the border wall gaps located in the area of the Morelos Dam near Yuma, Arizona.

Governor Doug Ducey ordered the installation of over 100 of the double-stacked containers, pending delays from U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assign the contracts.

The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs replied to a letter from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation demanding the removal of the containers with a reply saying, “the containers will remain in place until specific details regarding construction are provided,” in a statement signed by the department director Allen Clark.

The State of Arizona has subsequently filed a lawsuit according to a news release from Governor Ducey’s office, “to affirm the state’s right to defend itself.”

“Our border communities are overwhelmed by illegal activity as a result of the Biden administration’s failure to secure the southern border,” said Governor Ducey.

He added, “Arizona is taking action to protest on behalf of our citizens. With this lawsuit, we’re pushing back against efforts by federal bureaucrats to reverse the progress we’ve made. The safety and security of Arizona and its citizens must not be ignored. Arizona is going to do the job that Joe Biden refuses to do — secure the border in any way we can. We’re not backing down.”
