Oddly enough, the biggest obstacle in the way of Trump beating these indictments is not the evidence.
No, it is the judges and jury pool.
That theory was proven right again in the Alvin Bragg case.
They Don’t Like Trump
Judge Kaplan has a record when it comes to Trump, and it is not favorable.
The loss column for Trump just got yet another notch.
Kaplan has ruled in favor of Bragg to allow him the Trump deposition tapes from the E. Jean Carroll case.
Trump was very cocky and dismissive during that deposition, which is why Bragg wants that tape as evidence.
He believes it shows a state of mind by Trump that will influence the jury in his hush-money case against Trump which has almost three dozen felony charges attached to it.
Oh, and by the way, Kaplan also dismissed Trump’s countersuit against Carroll.
After the ruling, her attorney stated, “Now that the court has denied Trump’s motion for a new trial or to decrease the amount of the verdict, E. Jean Carroll looks forward to receiving the $5 million in damages that the jury awarded her.”
I am just wondering if Trump will pay that or try to take the $5 million out of campaign funds.
Trump has been tapping campaign funds to pay off his legal bills, so it is not out of the question he would try to use them to make this payment.
I bring this up because even though Trump has gotten a fundraising boost, his campaign is not cash-rich, and that is because of the legal bills.
