Boston University is under fire after one of its employees issued a death threat against Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffers in a post on the leftist pro-censorship platform BlueSky.
Jared May, an assistant media technician at Boston University, shared an image on BlueSky with the names and photos of DOGE staffers with the words “Wanted for Treason — Dead or Alive” beneath the photos.
According to May, these six individuals are “carrying out Musk’s coup,” referring to tech billionaire Elon Musk, the leader of DOGE.

The radical leftist Boston University employee has since deleted his LinkedIn page, which showed that he works as an assistant media technician at the university’s Questrom School of Business Susilo Business Center.
Musk has since responded to the threat in a post on X, writing: “He has committed a crime.”

LibsofTikTok, the account that broke the news, responded to Musk by stating her hope that U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin sees this post — as he has already declared his intention to protect DOGE employees from threats and harassment.
Hopefully @EagleEdMartin sees this

In a letter to Musk, Martin wrote: “I recognize that some of the staff at DOGE has been targeted publicly. At this time, I ask that you utilize me and my staff to assist in protecting the DOGE work and the DOGE workers. Any threats, confrontations, or other actions in anyway that impact their work may break numerous laws.”
Dear @elon, Please see this important letter. We will not tolerate threats against DOGE workers or law-breaking by the disgruntled. All the best. Ed Martin pic.twitter.com/jIgMPVbPT5

Meanwhile, Breitbart News reached out to Boston University for comment on May’s post, and also asked whether the university plans to assist law enforcement in their investigation of his threats.
“We are aware of a post made by an employee on his personal social media account. We do not comment on personnel matters,” a Boston University spokesperson told the outlet.
“We want to state clearly and strongly that the views expressed do not reflect the values of Questrom School of Business,” the university spokesperson added.
