So, it turns out, we knew the balloon was coming long before it showed up over Montana.
A bombshell report hit this week from our intelligence agencies that the balloon had been monitored almost as soon as it was launched.
So, why did it take so long for Biden to decide to shoot it down?
Too Long
The report on CBS News stated that we were monitoring the balloon as it tracked toward Guam and Hawaii, then made a turn for Alaska, then continued to our mainland.
We also know the balloon was tagged as a surveillance balloon fairly early on in this process.
Yet, Joe Biden waited to shoot it down until it traveled across the entire country, giving China a great look at our defense capabilities, and it went out to sea in the Atlantic.
The shady aspect is all of this is that the administration stated that the other three “objects” were taken out because they started to pass over defense areas, which surely the first balloon had done.
That balloon should have been splashed in the Bering Sea or Pacific Ocean, period.
I would also like to know why our pilots are sending $400,000 sidewinder missiles when guns would seem like a more cost-effective way to take these objects out.
If nothing else, it would give them some great practice on dogfighting skills.
As usual, this administration is being less than transparent, so we have to keep guessing until they give up the tapes on this.
