White House Hangs Iconic Trump Mug Shot In Oval Office

The White House has officially hung President Donald Trump’s famous mug shot in the entryway to the Oval Office.

A framed New York Post front page featuring Trump’s mug shot from his bogus arrest at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia has been memorialized in the White House, showing Trump’s iconic intense gaze, without a smile, with his head tilted down.

Footage of the newly installed photo was shared on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, along with the caption: “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! WELCOME TO THE BEAUTIFUL OVAL OFFICE.”

The iconic mug shot was taken after Trump turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail on August 24, 2023, based on false allegations that he and his associates had committed crimes by challenging the 2020 election — despite the fact that challenging the results of an election in court is not illegal, and despite the fact that Democrats have challenged the results of virtually every election in the past few decades.

This was one of many iconic images from Trump’s campaign, including what was arguably one of the most famous images in history: Trump’s fist-raised pose as he shouted “fight, fight, fight” after being shot during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

It is unclear if the Trump administration plans to hang that image as well, though they have made many changes to White House décor in the three weeks since Trump took office.

Trump’s official portrait was framed and hung up in the Eisenhower Executive Office building next to the White House on February 13:

The Trump administration also hung up a framed portrait of former President Ronald Reagan inside the Oval Office on February 6, the late president’s birthday. The decision was celebrated by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institution.

“We can’t think of a better birthday present… Ronald Reagan’s portrait now hangs in the Oval Office. Thank you, @POTUS, for honoring his legacy. Happy Birthday, Mr. President!” the nonprofit wrote in a post on X.
