Enoch, UT Police came about a scene this week nobody ever wants to see.
While answering a call for a welfare check, they found eight dead bodies inside the home.
There were three adults and five minor children.
Apparent Murder-Suicide
After the discovery, local police issued a statement on the matter.
It stated, “Officers checked the residence and found three adults and five minors deceased inside the home.
“At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any suspects at large.”
This is a very small city of about 8,000 people, so this is something that will sting for some time to come.
As we suspected, police now believe this was a murder-suicide.
Early Friday morning, reports surfaced that the father, 42-year-old Michael Haight, killed the seven individuals in the house before turning the gun on himself.
Enoch City Manager Rob Dotson stated, “This community is feeling remorse, feeling pain.
“There are friends and neighbors and family members who are hurting because of this incident.
“We don’t know why this happened and we’re not going to guess.
“We’re going to continue the police investigation.”
