A shocking new poll shows just how deranged the left has become, as a majority of Democrats either are “unsure” whether the United States would be better off if former President Donald Trump had been murdered, or outright believe that it would be better off — while less than half of Democrat respondents disagree with the assertion.
RMG Research president Scott Rasmussen conducted the poll of 1,000 registered voters on September 16-17 on behalf of Napolitan News. The poll was conducted just one day after Trump faced a second assassination attempt.
The respondents were asked this shocking question: “While it is always difficult to wish ill of another human being, would America be better off if Donald Trump had been killed last weekend?”
Overall, 69% of respondents said no, while 17% of respondents believe that the U.S. would have been better off if Trump was murdered, which includes 7% of Republicans. While the number of “unsure” respondents to any poll question is typically not that significant, as many Americans are undecided about a variety of issues, the fact that a staggering 14% said that they were “unsure” whether the U.S. would be better off if the leading GOP candidate was murdered is pretty shocking.
That number only increased among Democrats, with 25% declaring that they were “unsure.” Meanwhile, nearly three-in-ten Democrats (28%) believe the U.S. would be better off if their political opponent was murdered. These numbers essentially mean that “53 percent of Democrats are either okay with Trump being murdered or on the fence about it,” according to Breitbart News’ John Nolte.

Only 47% of Democrat respondents stated that they did not believe that the U.S. would benefit from Trump’s murder.
Responding to the poll’s results, Napolitan News noted: “The desensitization of some Americans following the second assassination [attempt] of former President Trump is alarming.”
Rasmussen also responded to the results, writing: “It is hard to imagine a greater threat to democracy than expressing a desire to have your political opponent murdered.”
“I continue to believe that America’s best days are still to come. However, for years I’ve been saying that things will get worse before they get better. These numbers suggest that the phase of getting worse is clearly upon us,” he added.
