The “trumped up” case Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg brought against once and future President Donald Trump is outright interference in the upcoming 2024 election. Conservative House watchdog Jim Jordan isn’t going to stand for it.
Election interference already
The so called criminal case against Donald Trump is election interference, plain and simple. Ohio lawmaker Jim Jordan is a whole lot happier in his committee chairmanship roles than he would have been if he ended up with the House Speaker job. He almost got drafted into it against his will.
He’s now extremely well positioned to do some real good for America. When Jordan sat down with Jimmy Failla in the Fox studio recently, the host quizzed him if Bragg’s nonsense might fall into that category. You bet it does.
“Totally. Alvin Bragg used federal tax dollars to go after a former president, to indict a former president for no crime, interferes with the federal election,” Jordan calmly declared. The upcoming one which Trump has already announced he’s running in.

One of Jordan’s committees started interrogating a former member of Bragg’s office. “And then we want to talk with someone who hasn’t worked there in a year. And what’s he do? He sues us.” That won’t end well for Bragg.
Donald Trump himself is already on record bashing Bragg for his perceived “interference in a presidential election.” The Manhattan DA charged him at the state level with what should be a federal crime. The federal prosecutors already declined to do anything about it.
The state has no business even looking to bring charges, much less filing them. Trump faces 34 counts which are basically the same crime repeated over and over for show. He’s already pleaded not guilty.

High profile arraignment
It’s clear that Democrats are totally panicking that Trump will probably get put back in the White House, where conservatives say he belongs, as soon as the next election rolls around. They only have one candidate, Joe Biden, who is about to be facing felony charges of his own.
The influence peddling arrangement is beginning to see the light of day. Between bank records and testimony from a former White House stenographer, it’s clear that Hunter Biden’s job with Burisma had an effect on Joe Biden’s business decisions while Vice President.
Everybody knows, even the Democrats, that Bragg’s case against Trump is “politically motivated” to prevent him from running in the next election. It won’t work. He could be convicted and sitting in a jail cell and still run. Trump would still win. Probably in an even bigger landslide.

While Jordan had his hat on as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, he went ahead and issued a formal subpoena for Mark Pomerantz, “a former prosecutor in the Manhattan district attorney’s office.” That way he won’t have to wait while the polite request is declined. Doing it this way speeds the process along.
Pomerantz happens to be the “former prosecutor in the Manhattan district attorney’s office who led the investigation before resigning.” He quit because he was concerned “about Bragg’s hesitance to seek charges against Trump.”
He was even more rabid about stopping Trump in his tracks. Bragg’s effort to block that subpoena is “interfering with our investigation looking into interference in the most important election we have, election for President of the United States.“
