Rep. McCaul (R-TX) has been very fair with Secretary Antony Blinken.
A little too fair, if you ask me.
McCaul has extended the deadline for documents to be submitted that were subpoenaed by his House committee.
Blinken has continued to ignore them.
Now, finally, McCaul is going to take action.
Bring Him In
McCaul initially issued a subpoena for dissent cables from the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Blinken does not want to turn over the cable, and we all know why… it will reveal just how disorganized this entire mess really was.
McCaul was given a single-page briefing on the cable, with the original cable being four pages long.
So, clearly, there is something hidden.
McCaul now says he will hit Blinken with contempt charges if he does not pony up the document.
McCaul is giving Blinken one final chance, stating, “That subpoena … must be complied with immediately.
“Should you fail to comply, the committee is prepared to take the necessary steps to enforce its subpoena, including holding you in contempt of Congress and/or initiating a civil enforcement proceeding.”
Just get a backbone and file the petition for contempt! It has been long enough.
