While we can’t say it’s completely unusual to see someone wearing swimsuit while shopping around in a convenience store or gas station, I think many of us would agree it’s a bit uncommon to see someone sporting a bikini with an ankle monitor. That’s exactly what was captured in this photo that has now gone viral online.

A photo of two women standing at the counter of a store recently went viral on Imgur and it was for that exact reason.

This picture has been viewed more than 100,000 times and has over 150 comments.

It’s likely that this woman had just been sentenced to house arrest as she’s wearing an ankle monitor around her right leg.

The caption accompanying the image reads “Nothing adds to your summer look like a court ordered ankle monitor…”

Onlookers were quick to comment on this peculiar situation with one user writing “At least we know she only likes 100m walks on the beach.”

Another added “Should leave a fun tan line too!” leading some users to question how this young woman was able to make it out of her house despite being under house arrest?

The Law Dictionary explains that when someone is under house arrest they are typically allowed up to 3,000 feet from their home before getting arrested again.

This means that if this woman in the photo actually lives close by then she may have made it back home before any further legal action could be taken against her.

It also suggests that if she didn’t return home then she may have been arrested shortly after the picture was taken anyway due to violating her restriction terms of her sentence.

Sadly we don’t know for sure the results of this image, but it certainly was an eye-opener for the person who took it as well as thousands of online viewers.
