Trump has made another legal move that has baffled his supporters.

After Mark Meadows filed for separation so he could have his case moved to federal court, it was made pretty clear that Trump was going to do the same.

He had 30 days after his arraignment to make that filing, but his legal team has declined.

Shock Move

On September 20, Trump’s legal team made the court aware that they would not be filing to have the case moved.

The filing stated, “President Trump now notifies the Court that he will NOT be seeking to remove his case to federal court.

“This decision is based on his well-founded confidence that this Honorable Court intends to fully completely protect his constitutional right to a fair trial and guarantee him due process of law throughout the prosecution of his case in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia.”

Fulton County is going to be a tough draw for Trump, so this move baffles me.

The only thing that I can think of is that they are conceding the idea of losing this case, then having it overturned on appeal.

It will be all but impossible for Trump to get a friendly jury in this county, so nothing else makes sense.

So far, five of the defendants in the case have filed for a new venue, including Mark Meadows.

His initial filing was declined, so he is now working his way through appeals to have the case moved.
