Just in case you had any lingering expectations that anyone could take Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seriously any longer, let them be annihilated here. The young AOC just pulled one of the oldest social media moves ever… she said she was quitting Twitter to only return within a day or two. This tends to be the sort of thing that you’d expect from a Youtube personality rather than a United States Congresswoman. According to The Daily Mail, Ocasio-Cortez’s little break from Social media lasted something like 20 hours.
Initially, AOC complained of the negativity she’s seen on Twitter, seeming to forget momentarily that she likely owes her very office to a strong presence on that social media platform as well as Instagram.
“Literally, I would go to open the app and I almost felt like, anxious. People like, kind of fight and gossip, and all this other stuff so much,” Ocasio-Cortez said
During a Q&A Ocasio-Cortez held on her Instagram a user, noticing her recent lack of tweets, asked: “When will you come back to Twitter?? You’re missed.”
“That’s so funny that you bring that up,” Ocasio-Cortez smiled. “Yeah when I got COVID I turned off all my devices, which means I wasn’t really on social media that much or anything like that.”
“And I found that when I went to open Twitter up again, it just like wasn’t really making me –“
“So I mean, literally, I would go to open the app and I almost felt like, anxious. People like, kind of fight and gossip, and all this other stuff so much,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“But — and there’s a lot of negative negativity on there — but I’ll be back. Don’t worry. Just a break.”
And what did it take to coax AOC back to Twitter like an addict to the needle? Attempting a ham-fisted cheap shot at Senator Joe Manchin of course! She couldn’t resist siccing her 12.8 million followers on the man most responsible for nuking her far-left radical fever dreams in Congress… so she incomprehensibly blamed the Senator from West Virginia for the failures of the Democrat-run City and State of New York…
An Apt Response To AOC From Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Office
Governor DeSantis, a regular target of the unhinged Democrat-Socialist’s attacks had his office whip up something special for the wayward Congresswoman who so quickly fell off the wagon suggesting “she could have avoided her social media clashes if she ‘refrained from making unprovoked, bad-faith attacks.”
“Perhaps she could have avoided much of that “Twitter negativity” if she had refrained from making unprovoked, bad-faith attacks on Governor DeSantis,’ DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw told DailyMail.
