Former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney has made her way back in the news headlines after she recently spoke in an interview with the University of Virginia Center for Politics’ “Politics Is Everything” podcast. This time, she spewed nothing but nonsense about newly appointed House Speaker Mike Johnson, calling him a “dangerous” threat to democracy.
It’s difficult not to feel that this rejection of her former colleague is personal. After all, it was Cheney who undemocratically refused to represent Wyoming voters during her final term, instead joining pro-abortion, pro-death Democrats in their attempt to portray the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion as the worst moment in American history.
The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney has now found herself teaching at the school where she can drone on about her beliefs – but what did she actually have to say about Johnson?

Liz Cheney and Mike Johnson are no strangers; they were even elected together and worked side by side for some time. On the podcast, she recounted how things used to be between them before stating that his current actions are concerning due to his willingness “to set aside what he knew to be the rulings of the courts”.
These comments come after Johnson voted not certify the results of 2020 election – something which Cheney believes makes him dangerous. In spite of her years misrepresenting one of America’s most conservative states, she insists that people must recognize “the stakes” when dealing with Donald Trump and his attempt “to consolidate power” if reelected.
It’s clear that there is a strong underlying frustration towards her former colleague and friend here – especially considering he was just elected speaker while she got ousted from office amidst voter disapproval.
People like Liz Cheney are relics from uniparty conservatism who have been rendered useless since Trump won 2016 election.
