Democrats are having a bit of a fit this week.
Donald Trump just got the keys back to his Facebook and Instagram pages, and that is bad news for Democrats.
At the top of the heap losing his mind over the decision was Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
They Did What?
Schiff was joined by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) in a letter to Meta to try to stop them from allowing Trump back on social media.
In part, the letter stated, “Based on Meta’s previous statements on standards for allowing Trump back on the platform, his account should not have been reinstated.”
They maintain that Trump “continued to post harmful election content on Truth Social that would likely violate Facebook’s policies, and we have every reason to believe he will bring similar conspiratorial rhetoric back to Facebook, too.
“How Facebook could reinstate his account, given all the additional content on Truth Social that would likely have resulted in a brand-new suspension if it were on your platform, is inexplicable.”

The pleas fell on deaf ears, however, as Trump got his accounts back, with Meta promising to keep a close eye on him.
Thus far, Trump has been pretty silent, so we will have to see how aggressive he gets knowing he is on a crate of eggshells here.
