Alarming: MyPillow Employee Beheaded

In Shakopee, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis, a MyPillow employee was beheaded in broad daylight, and her death was captured on video.

Soon after MyPillow employee America Mafalda Thayer, 55, was beheaded, graphic video of her death began circulating on social media.

Speaking with ABC-5, Shakopee Police Chief Jeff Tate said that he was “incredibly disappointed” that the video of the murder was broadcast online.

The incident occurred at around 2:31 p.m. on July 28 near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Spencer Street in Shakopee.

Alexis Saborit, 42, has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to the Shakopee Police Department. Saborit was Thayer’s long-term boyfriend, and was reportedly abusive towards her.

Saborit had previously been convicted of domestic assault in 2017 in Carver County, according to reporting from CBS-4 Minnesota.

Before the suspect had been identified, the Shakopee Police Department issued a statement about the beheading on Twitter. The statement read:

“On July 28, 2021, at approximately 2:31 p.m., Shakopee Police officers responded to a report of a homicide near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Spencer Street. A suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to public safety. An investigation is ongoing. We do not believe this was a random act of violence. We will release additional information at a later date. Again, there is no threat to public safety.”

In a Twitter thread, Crime Watch Minneapolis detailed Saborit’s criminal history:

“Shakopee PD has confirmed that Alexis Saborit is in custody related to yesterday’s homicide in which it appeared the victim was beheaded. As we alluded last night, Saborit was ordered to have a mental illness evaluation related to arson charges last fall…

Despite the court’s observation & his defense’s claim that Saborit was mentally ill, he was released on bail. This spring, his conditional release was ordered revoked & a court doc claimed he was a danger to people & community. Judge Richard C. Perkins ordered him released…

Saborit had a hearing scheduled on the arson charge yesterday, in which he was scheduled to appear at just about the time the murder was allegedly committed…

A source tells us that Saborit’s 2017 gross misdemeanor conviction on domestic assault was against the same victim Saborit allegedly murdered yesterday…

Court records indicate that Saborit has two separate prior criminal convictions on domestic abuse-battery in in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana.”

Thayer’s murder comes just a few days after the radical far-left Minneapolis City Council’s unbelievably shortsighted decision to add a measure to the November ballot asking to disband the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a public safety department. The council voted in favor of the ballot question 11-1.
