Joe Biden has once again been caught telling outright lies. In a speech on Monday, February 28th, he continued to push the ridiculous leftist talking point that Republicans want to disenfranchise black voters.
“We’re protecting our countries threshold liberties, the sacred right to vote, which I’ve never seen under such attack. You know, it’s always made it harder for blacks to vote. But this is trying to be able to figure out how to keep the black vote, when it occurs, from even counting,” Biden claimed in a speech celebrating Black History Month.
Apparently, the former vice president was referring to the various voter integrity/voter security measures being passed in red states around the country.

During his speech, Biden also pushed Congress to pass his election bills: the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. Both of these bills would nationalize federal election laws, allowing the Department of Justice to strike down any state-level election procedures that it feels are “discriminatory.”
Critics argue that both of the bills are unconstitutional, as the Constitution requires the federal government to defer to each individual state when it comes to voting laws.
This isn’t the first time the left has used lies to attack the GOP’s attempts to make elections more secure. According to The Daily Caller, “Biden and the Democrats have repeatedly used hyperbolic language to describe Republican voter integrity measures. On multiple occasions, Biden referred to these measures as the new ‘Jim Crow,’ implying that Republicans are racists who wish to prevent black Americans from voting.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has also joined in on pushing the left’s insane lies, claiming in 2021 that Republicans’ efforts to make elections more secure are the “worst challenge to our Democracy since the Civil War.”
