Body counts are starting to come in from Israel, and they are far from good.
We know that the initial body count was up over 700, with thousands missing.
Sadly, among the dead are now at least four Americans, a number that will surely rise in the coming days.
They’re Dead
Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that Americans were killed in the terror attack.
When he was asked directly if Americans were killed, injured, or kidnapped, he stated, “Yes.
“We have reports that several Americans were killed.
“We’re working overtime to verify that.
“At the same time, there are reports of missing Americans, and, there again, we’re working to verify those reports.”
The question remains how we were clueless this attack was going to take place.
Roughly two weeks ago, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan had commented on the Middle East.
While he acknowledged the problems between Israel and Palestine, he clearly had no idea this was about to take place.
He stated, “The Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades.”
Then came the attack, and Israel just declared war, its first war in five decades.
So, yeah, Jake, your comment did not exactly age well.
