The world is becoming more pet friendly as we see in this cat lover’s dream bedroom! Sleeping with a cat is no easy task. Nocturnal by nature their playtime is right when you want to sleep. Thankfully, there’s now a perfect, or purr-fect, bed frame designed to keep your cats entertained while you get to sleep peacefully.
Colombian brand CatLife has recently released their new design, a cat-centric bedframe dubbed the Gatrimonial bed.
It features a unique wooden frame with decorative holes at the base. However, those wholes are but a doorway to an “internal labyrinth” for your furry friend to explore. The maze features dead-ends with small cutouts for your cat to frolic about. It’s a great solution for energetic cats without as much room to play, keeping your feline friend happy without sacrificing design.
The Gatrimonial Bed, a play on the Spanish word for cat (gato), is a particularly clever way to please your pet while utilizing space that’s often wasted. The wooden platform bed base features an internal labyrinth hidden beneath the mattress. Top panels allow for the mattress to lift up so you can easily check on your furry friends. It also includes holes of various diameters that act as entrances, exits, and ventilation.
At first glance, it looks like a stylish but usual wooden bed frame with a few decorative holes cut into the base. But once the mattress is removed, an amazing design is revealed. The interior of the bed frame has an internal maze with multiple holes for your cats to enter from one side and exit out the other.
“With our bed, our cat clients don’t feel invaded in their territory, nor do they have to run looking for a safe space to hide,” the CatLife designers explain.
“Under this bed, they find a quiet place, full of calm and security, and best of all, it still has the same functionality for the owner! You will continue to rest as you normally would, but now, you provide a unique den to your cat,” the description continues.
