While Americans are struggling and her city streets are set on fire, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is living the high life on her citizens.
Cantrell is reportedly staying in a posh apartment owned by the city.
The problem… as far as anyone can tell, she is not paying any rent.

The fair market value for the apartment right now is about $3,000 per month.
The property is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom located in the French Market Corporation’s Upper Pontalba Building in Jackson Square.
The mayor has been coming and going from the apartment nearly every day over an almost 4-week period.
Her office defended the use of the apartment, stating, “The mayor’s usage of the city-owned apartment at the Pontalba is consistent with the usage of past mayors.
“In addition, the most recent franchise agreement contains no rules governing how that unit should be used.
“Lastly, according to the French Market Corporation, who are the owners of the building, this and past mayors are under no obligation to pay for using the apartment.”
If that is the case, it sure sounds like a kickback to me!

This mayor, if you recall, was the subject of another recent report for having racked up a bunch of charges for upgraded travel.
Cantrell has paid roughly $30,000 out of city funds to upgrade her flights to first class.
When questioned about the travel costs, she stated, “My travel accommodations are a matter of safety, not of luxury. … I need to be safe as I do business on behalf of the city of New Orleans.”
Yes, because so many black women are being attacked on planes in coach.
New Orleans has taken over as the murder capital of the country, so the arrogance of this woman is rather astonishing.
This woman is a thief… plain and simple.
