Senator Dianne Feinstein, the long-serving Democrat from California, is now in the hospital after a fall.

The 90-year-old has had a spout of recent health issues including shingles, Ramsay Hunt syndrome and encephalitis that forced her to take an extended absence from the Senate earlier this year.

In light of these events, Republicans are calling for her resignation and retirement from public life.

Senator Feinstein recently made headlines when she appeared confused during a speech on the Senate floor while voting on a bill.

She began to say “I would like to support a ‘yes’ vote on this…” when Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) interrupted her to tell her to just say “aye” instead.

One of Feinstein’s aides then spoke up as well in order to help explain what was going on.

Last year, Senator Feinstein was also reportedly confused about why Vice President Kamala Harris was present in the Senate chamber – seemingly unaware that Harris was both a fellow senator and vice president of the United States at once.

Additionally, Feinstein gave power of attorney over herself to her 66-year old daughter Katherine recently amidst reports that there is a family dispute regarding Feinstein’s intention to sell her beach house near San Francisco – something which is being opposed by Blum’s children according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Senators John Fetterman (D-PA) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) are among other politicians who have faced public health issues in recent times.

Fetterman suffered a massive stroke back in May 2022 which led him into clinical depression.

Additionally he experienced auditory comprehension difficulties as well.

Meanwhile McConnell recently appeared disoriented during an appearance on camera though no official diagnosis has been made yet or any further updates provided since then.
