School officials in Easthampton, Massachusetts had to seriously upgrade their software to handle all the public record requests which came flooding in. As soon as the city’s “woke” insistence on total compliance with the New World Order indoctrination program went public, their old computer crashed. The sordid saga began with their search for a new superintendent.
School too picky
The city of Easthampton, Massachusetts had no idea that finding a new school superintendent would create such a firestorm of controversy. They got buried in a “deluge of public records requests.” The progressive city administrators didn’t expect parents to want them to actually teach such useless and outdated subjects as reading and math, instead of properly helping students figure out which gender they should be.
They’re now forced to add the numbers up themselves to cope with all the angry demands for transparency. They thought they had a good candidate for the job all lined up, until it turned out he was not sufficiently educated on “new biology.”
The same as “new math” spawned an intense need for pocket calculators back in the 1970’s, new biology has everyone scrambling for new and improved software to keep up with the demands. Along with your spelling and grammar checkers you need to have a pronoun checker and plugins to warn you about political correctness errors. That would have saved Vito Perrone a whole lot of unnecessary angst.

He was the finalist candidate for the superintendent gig until “the School Committee rescinded his job offer.” He made the deal-breaking mistake of beginning an email with the word “ladies.” That, right there, proved he wasn’t woke enough to be trusted with molding impressionable young minds in Easthampton.
That, they say, is “microaggression.” Not every female is a lady, “which is a societal definition of a particular type of female, usually one who is polite and ladylike.” Perrone’s replacement didn’t work out much better. In her case, the school students didn’t trust her wokeness. The “second superintendent finalist, Erica Faginski-Stark, who accepted the job after the offer to Perrone was rescinded, withdrew her candidacy after students from the Easthampton Gender and Sexuality Alliance club raised concerns about Faginski-Stark’s Facebook posts from 2021.”
They allegedly contained “conservative transphobic rhetoric.” Apparently she’s taken the position as a female athlete that trans-women shouldn’t be allowed to compete against cis-women. Her views, she made clear, have nothing to do with how a person sees themselves but simply the biological differences between males and females. There again, she just flunked the new biology lesson.
Parents demand answers
Angry parents are demanding to know why they don’t have a school superintendent after basically approving two of them for the job. They expected the administrators to simply put their will into action and weren’t expecting what came next. They have the right to request those answers and the city has a duty to respond to them. On a deadline.
Parents came out of the woodwork to file information requests. Officials did their best to comply, until their outdated system froze solid. Now they have to cope with the realities of budgets and software design to handle real world issues instead of all the manufactured nonsense they have mastered to a science.
“When all of this focus came upon the city for the superintendent search,” Mayor Nicole LaChapelle explains, “the way we were trying to handle the data, the system would crash. It wouldn’t compress files. We were putting our head up against the wall because we’ve never gotten that many requests so fast with such long search strings.”

The school committee wasn’t real happy with their new popularity. It didn’t take long before they learned that “their digital system could not handle all of the requests and data being queried.” The IT Department came up with a temporary patch to prevent crashes. They also started putting up answers to the common questions right on their main web page.
So many requests are still flooding in that last week, “the City Council approved an interdepartmental transfer of about $2,900 for purchase of a public records tracking database.” They’re “hoping that this database, which is used by quite a few other clerks that I know, will help make it easier to keep track of what we’re getting in.”
Meanwhile the search for a school superintendent who’s woke enough to know all the right code words continues, with no end in sight.
