How He Destroyed A Near Million Dollar Car Is Totally Insane….

To say that buying a new car is a complicated process is an understatement for sure, but this time is a little out of the ordinary.

And while it takes some time to become accustom to new driving styles, positions, different equipment, and the clutch, these adjustments did not seem to take place in this case.

Imagine taking your supercar out for a drive—and almost immediately crashing it. This is exactly what happened to a novice Ford GT owner who drove his model car into a tree.

A Florida man barely made it out of his housing complex before crashing his 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition sports car into a nearby palm tree.

The driver claims that the reason for the crash was a lack of familiarity with the manual transmission.

According to Road & Track:

While moving from first to second gear, the driver, later identified as 50-year-old Robert J. Guarini, lost control of the vehicle. The owner also claimed that “worn tires, muddy roads, and a fresh detailing were all variables that caused the 550-horsepower supercar to swing out and smash a tree,” but there’s a lot about this narrative that appears suspect.

“I don’t want people to think I was racing at 90 mph,” Guarini said“I was going 35 mph.”

The owner had only purchased the vehicle last month for $704,000 at a Barret-Jackson auction in Palm Beach. Oddly enough, this price is pretty reasonable for this model in its current condition, or should I say previous condition.

The new generation GT was debuted in 2005, based on the Ford GT40 concept that gained prominence in the late 1960s thanks to the fictional 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 346 is from the Heritage version, which features a specific livery that reflects the colors of Gulf Racing of victories on French territory between 1966 and 1969 when they also shattered the monopoly of Ferrari.

Supercar accidents are something many people are fascinated by actually. In fact, this is not the first time a supercar has crashed in the recent years. Not long ago, a $3.8 million supercar crash occurred involving two brightly yellow Lamborghini Aventadors as well as another accident involving a Ford GT that was ripped apart in Beverly Hills just last year.
