New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams seems to have brainstormed an “adopt a migrant” program. That’s an idea we saw coming from a mile away. Those hoping for live-in domestic help, on a tight budget, with a spare room in their home, can have as many nannies and landscapers as they can accommodate.
Adopt a migrant today
On Monday, June 5, New York City Mayor Eric Adams held a press conference to announce some bold new plans for migrant housing. Everyone wondered when his big idea would get thrown on the table because it’s inevitable. The city can only pay for so many hotel rooms. The homeless population still has no place to go and they’ve been complaining about the unfair treatment.
Meanwhile, the city has buses full of South Americans arriving day and night with no end in sight. Mayor Adams is scrambling for solutions. One of them is pass the overflow around to those who can afford to feed them. Public or private.
Conservatives may disagree with his liberal policies but nobody can deny that Adams gets in the trenches and at least tries to hammer out solutions from his progressive perspective. His first planned immediate solution is to shelter migrant families in houses of worship.
Eric Adams suggests housing illegal migrants in private residences in New York:

“As we continue to tackle this humanitarian crisis, I’m proud that through this new partnership with New York Disaster Interfaith Services, New York City’s faith community will be able to provide shelter to asylum-seekers in need at houses of worship throughout the five boroughs.”
That seems like a reasonable plan, saddling the sanctuary burden squarely on the ones who peddled false promises of milk and honey in the sanctuary land of the free. The only problem is that it’s just an illusion, propped up by massive checks from federal aid programs.
Every taxpayer in America is footing the bill for our mass migrant invasion, whether they know it or not. Since Joe doesn’t actually rake in enough in taxes to cover what he’s spending, he prints more money. Liberals can’t seem to figure out why the price of groceries has gone through the roof.

A win-win solution
Adams is actually on to something with his other, bolder idea. He was almost afraid to throw it out there but it makes sense, even to conservatives. That’s because it embraces capitalism and allows the migrant herd to earn their keep.
His “vision” Adams proclaimed, is to “take the next step to” moving migrants into “a private residence.” Not one of their own. “There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges. They have spare rooms.”
Not only can people with some extra space benefit from some extra hands around the house, they can get a check from the government to sweeten the pot. Adams needs to bend a few rules first.
SHOCKING
NYC Mayor Eric Adams suggest that struggling Americans should consider housing migrants and charging them rent. The Mayor said the city has a $4.3 billion budget they can put back into the pockets of New Yorkers, but only if they’re willing to house Illegals.

“If there’s a way around certain rules,” Adams suggests, “we can take that $4.2 billion — $4.3 maybe, now — that we potentially may have to spend and we can put it back in the pockets of everyday New Yorkers, everyday houses of worship, instead of putting it in the pockets of corporations.” It works for the migrant population and their sponsors.
Adams needs to come up with something pretty quick. As of today, he’s responsible for “more than 46,000 asylum-seekers.” The migrant invasion, he declares, “is a serious crisis, one that New York City is facing largely on our own. It’s unfair and it’s not right that New York is going through this.”
He’s right. Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas created the problem on purpose and they totally ignored planning for the results of their work.
