The United States has eliminated several more ISIS terrorists in a joint operation with the Iraqi military on February 1.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the news in a statement, noting that the Iraqi Security Forces led the operation, but they were enabled by U.S. forces.
CENTCOM explained that the Islamist terrorist group was found to be hiding “in the vicinity [of] Kirkuk, Iraq,” and the joint U.S.-Iraqi strike on the area was confirmed to have eliminated “five ISIS operatives.”
“An initial post-strike clearance found multiple explosive suicide belts and other materials,” the statement read. “The ISF-led operation is part of the ongoing Defeat-ISIS campaign to disrupt and degrade ISIS’ capabilities, dismantle their attack networks, and ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS. Coalition Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CTF-OIR) enabled ISF during the operation by providing technical support and intelligence.”
CENTCOM went on to note that “ISIS remains a threat to the region and beyond, and CENTCOM, along with partners and allies, will continue to aggressively pursue these terrorists to protect the homeland.”

This successful joint operation happened just a few hours before another operation authorized by President Donald Trump in Africa, which killed several ISIS terrorists who were hiding in a cave. While the Africa operation happened after the joint U.S.-Iraqi operation, the Africa operation was revealed first in a statement issued by Trump on February 1.
“This morning I ordered precision Military air strikes on the Senior ISIS Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia,” Trump explained in the statement. “These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies.”
“The strikes destroyed the caves they live in, and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians,” he added. “Our Military has targeted this ISIS Attack Planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did!”
“The message to ISIS and all others who would attack Americans is that ‘WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!’” Trump concluded.
