Trump Vows To Build Iron Dome For US

Trump Makes Bold Vow to Americans

During his historic X Space stream with Elon Musk, former President Donald Trump vowed that the United States would build its own Iron Dome, the Israeli missile defense system, under his second term.

The multi-hour stream included a lot of campaign promises from Trump, but one key promise has made headlines — with many Americans cheering for the boost in U.S. security.

While discussing the key threats America faces, Trump noted that the possibility of a nuclear world war was a much greater threat to the future of the U.S. and humanity in general than climate change — despite the mainstream media and the left’s claims to the contrary.

Musk warned: “I think people underrate the risk of World War III. When looking at the risk of global thermonuclear warfare, it’s game over for humanity. And you know, it’s something that people have I think, after the end of the Cold War, people have become complacent about, but they actually have forgotten that there are currently a lot of nuclear missiles that are targeting parameters for the United States.”

Responding to the warning, Trump stated that he agreed with Musk “100%,” then offered a solution — the Iron Dome.

“And one of the things that we’re going to do is we’re going to build an Iron Dome over us,” Trump said. “You know, Israel has it. We’re going to have the best Iron Dome in the world. We need it, and we’re going to make it all in the United States. But we’re going to have, we’re going to have protection, because it just takes one maniac to, you know, start something. We’re gonna have protection.”

“Why shouldn’t we have an Iron Dome? Israel has one,” he added. “Some other places have one that nobody even knows about, frankly. But Israel has it. We’re gonna have an Iron Dome.”

The Iron Dome has been a key piece of Israel’s defense, protecting Israeli civilians from missiles launched by terrorists into the country.

According to the BBC, the “Iron Dome is designed to protect against incoming short-range weapons. It operates in all weather conditions. It uses radar to track rockets and can differentiate between those that are likely to hit built-up areas and those that are not. Interceptor missiles are only fired at rockets expected to strike populated areas. The system consists of batteries located across Israel, each with three to four launchers that can fire 20 interceptor missiles. There are both fixed and mobile versions of the system.”

While the United States is roughly 448 times larger than Israel, an Iron Dome in the U.S. is possible with enough coverage spread out across the country. It would certainly bring a lot more peace to many Americans concerned about potential attacks from hostile foreign adversaries, especially in a second Trump term where he plans to try to achieve peace on the world stage after the Biden administration allowed chaos and war to erupt across the globe.
