Baltimore City’s State Attorney Marilyn Mosby, the apparent protégé of Kamala Harris, perhaps seeking to mirror her meteoric and highly corrupt rise to power from being a small-time DA in San Francisco to playing second fiddle to the dotard chosen as the figurehead for the Democrat-Socialist regime, seems to be well on her way. Mosby has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of perjury and making false statements on a loan application to take advantage of aid intended for people suffering from COVID.
The Charges Against Mosby
Fox45 Baltimore reported, “Mosby is accused of lying about experiencing COVID-related hardship on an application where she asked to withdraw $40,000 from her Baltimore City retirement account.” The indictment charges that Mosby suffered no financial hardship due to COVID. But that’s only about half of it.
“She is also charged with making false statements to influence a mortgage company, in connection with a vacation home in Florida,” the local media outlet added. “She allegedly failed to disclose that she owed ‘significant amounts of federal taxes’ on a mortgage application.”
Ooof, there’s a word for that: Fraud. And as Billie Mays once said, ‘But wait! There’s more!’
The Washington Post, unusual to their form goes into greater detail explaining, “The indictment alleges that Mosby requested permission in May and December of 2020 to withdraw $40,000, and then another $50,000, from her City of Baltimore employee retirement account, under a Cares Act clause that enabled people impacted by the coronavirus pandemic to access their money.”
“Mosby claimed both times, under penalty of perjury, that she had experienced ‘adverse financial consequences’ related to work hardships — which federal prosecutors allege was not true.”
Mosby definitely got her money… rather… the taxpayer’s subsidized money and picked up two swanky properties in Florida at Kissimmee and a condo at Long Boat Key according to Daily Wire, even more brazenly Mosby “had unpaid federal taxes or that in March 2020 the Internal Revenue Service had placed a $45,000 lien against all properties she and her husband owned, according to the indictment.”
A Radical Leftist Prosecutor And Protégé To Kamala
Mosby, a State attorney since 2014 and re-elected in 2018 is widely regarded as a “rogue prosecutor” whose goals seemed to be to incapacitate rather than facilitate prosecution in Baltimore. “Last year, she announced she would stop prosecuting certain misdemeanor cases, including prostitution and drug possession,” The Washington Post reported. “She said it was part of a shift to keep jails from overcrowding during the pandemic.”
Maryland Governor and Republican Larry Hogan has soundly criticized her, noting that she was a “big part of the problem” with rising crime in Maryland.
“We have a prosecutor in Baltimore City who refuses to prosecute violent criminals and that’s at the root of the problem,” he said.
The Baltimore Prosecutor has very publicly lauded Kamala Harris as her “inspiration” and “role model”.
“There would be no Marilyn Mosby without Kamala Harris,” she told The Baltimore Sun. “She’s a bold, brilliant, beautiful black woman,” According to Fox News, Harris has even campaigned for Mosby, supporter her bid to keep her near quarter-million-dollar per year position.

“And all of the work that we can do to actually make sure that somebody like Marilyn Mosby gets reelected into that office, to not only get convictions but have convictions,” Harris said at the time,
Harris knew even then that “a lot of people who are highly critical” of her protégé, so she knew what the allegations were and she simply didn’t care.
“She cannot fail and I know she will not fail,” Harris said.
Marilyn Mosby is looking at two perjury counts with a potential five-year sentence on each and two counts of mortgage fraud which carry up to 30 years in prison for each, a total possible sentence if served consecutively of seventy years. And yes, her attorney is playing the race card… because of course he is.
“We will fight these charges vigorously, and I remain confident that once all the evidence is presented, that she will prevail against these bogus charges,” her attorney, A. Scott Bolden, said, claiming that the charges against her are “rooted in personal, political and racial animus five months from her election.”
There has been no comment from Harris regarding Mosby’s indictment as of this writing.
