About two weeks ago, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly had lunch with Donald Trump.
As far as I know, this was only the second time they met since their fallout when Kelly was with Fox News and she hammered Trump about his comments about women during the debate.
After their meeting, Kelly went on her podcast and made it sound as though there was very little chance that Trump would show up for the first debate on Fox News.
Former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, however, is telling everyone to pump the brakes.

I think Trump will show up simply because he does not want to give anyone else a chance to steal the limelight.
Plus, if he has a good outing, he will have, in effect, ended the primary race, especially if he can put away Ron DeSantis.
Trump, however, has previously stated, “When you have a big lead, you don’t do it. Why would you let somebody that’s at 0 or at 1 or 2 or 3 be popping you with questions?”
Conway says that could all be a front.
She stated, “If I were you, I would keep that center podium warm because maybe he’ll make the announcement the day of.
“You just never know.
“On the one hand, he’s acting like a front-runner. He’s way ahead.
“What does he have to gain by going?
“On the other hand, that’s a natural habitat for him.
“It helped him in that first Fox News debate on Aug. 6, 2015, in Cleveland.
“He got center stage, he never lost it, became the nominee and indeed the president.”
With the DeSantis campaign just having let go about a third of its staff, I think Trump will smell the blood in the water and go for the kill.
