Lawlessness Hits Streets of LA- WATCH as They Destroy Private Property

Nothing says ‘leftist city in the Superbowl’ quite like lawlessness, violence, rioting, (whether their team wins or not most of the time) in this case, it was in Los Angeles, with the LA Rams fresh off of their Superbowl victory against the Cincinnati Bengals who arrived back at their palatial mansions to news reports of destructive looting, arson and weapons fire breaking out in downtown. It didn’t take long for the LAPD to declare the riot that the local CBS affiliate called “problematic celebrators.”… ( Writer’s Note: I really wish we were kidding… we’re not.) to be an “unlawful assembly”.

According to SMG Newswire, the “celebration” of thousands turned to chaos when a city Metro Silver Line was broken into, set aflame, and covered in graffiti near the intersection of 11th and Hope streets.

Lawlessness Descends On An Already Lawless City, In a Rogue, Corrupt State

Kevin Rector of the LA Times reported from the scene via Twitter in a long, detailed thread. Rector reported in part,

“Police declared an unlawful assembly and gave a dispersal order, saying anyone in the area regardless of their reason who didn’t leave would be subject to arrest (and potentially to police use of projectiles, etc.)

Some people left. Most didn’t. I stayed to observe too.

Police advanced their line of officers w/ projectile weapons in spurts, edging closer to the bulk of the crowd.”

Rector even noted that the rioters were firing off fireworks through the crowd, “Some of the fireworks going off seemed super dangerous, being shot amongst the crowd at low angles.”

But then astonishingly, ” they let everyone go. It seemed like they decided this small group wasn’t worth arresting,”

No rioting or civil disturbances were reported in Cincinnati, Ohio marking the Bengals’ defeat. Meanwhile, according to Downtown LA Scanner (@DowntownLAScan) at 12th and Fig, there was “Someone with a gun in the crowd. LAPD responding” two people were reportedly arrested. Before the officers declared an unlawful assembly, at least 500 people had gathered near 11th and Hope. By 11:23 PM PST Buildings and vehicles began to be vandalized, by 11:40 PM the LA Golden City Jewelry store was looted. Three additional buses were also vandalized and a second reportedly burned, another unidentified business was also looted.
