In a shocking confession to his daughters during a podcast, a legendary actor revealed that his mother almost aborted him.
Academy Award-winner Sylvester Stallone — who starred in the “Rocky” and “First Blood” franchises — made the shocking confession to his daughters, Sophia and Sistine, during an episode of their “Unwaxed” podcast discussing the new documentary about his life story, titled “SLY.”
Describing his childhood as a time when “everybody was extremely unhappy with who they were,” Stallone revealed that his parents were not interested in raising their children. In the documentary available on Netflix, it was revealed that the legendary actor’s mother considered killing her unborn child. Stallone explained that his mother would tell him “the only reason you’re here is because the hanger didn’t work” — referring to the dangerous at-home method of murdering unborn children.
Stallone’s birth was reportedly very traumatic, with the doctor using forceps to deliver him — which ended up severing a nerve on his face that caused paralysis in the left side of his lip, chin, and part of his tongue, while also causing his face to droop.
He also detailed other forms of abuse he was subjected to by his mother, revealing that she would also tell him how she would be doing him a “favor” if she opened his window and allowed him to freeze to death “if there was really something wrong” with his brain.
“I almost thought she was joking,” Stallone told his daughters as they stared at him in shock.
“Of course, I mean, what type of mother says that to her child?” Sophia, his eldest daughter, responded.
Stallone also explained that he did not go into depth about his mother’s abuse in the documentary because he believed that “it would be too much for the audience.”

The legendary actor is just the latest in a long line of celebrities who have spoken out in recent years to reveal that they were almost aborted as children — including Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Jack Nicholson and several others.
Most of these celebrities still shockingly choose to support abortion, though Nicholson has confirmed that he opposes the horrifying practice, previously stating: “I’m very contra my constituency in terms of abortion because I’m positively against it. I don’t have the right to any other view. My only emotion is gratitude, literally, for my life.”
