Massive Trump News, Here is What Just Happened

Given the sheer quantity of half-baked, politically motivated lawsuits, ‘investigations’, and public attacks on President Trump that have been perpetuated by media, government sources, and even opportunistic family and former friends over the last decade, many have thought Trump too tolerant… too patient even. And fed this image by vocally condemning the attacks only to publicly shrug them off later. It seems he was just biding his time, waiting for the right moment. And now it’s happened. New reports have been released that President Donald Trump has filed a $100 million lawsuit against both The New York Times and his niece Mary Trump.

The suit centers around Mary allegedly providing the Times with President Trump’s tax returns, a direct violation of a family confidentiality agreement. The breach of confidence led to a prominent 2018 ‘Exposé’ in the Times, one that benefitted the failing publication greatly, forestalling their inevitable collapse, to the harm and expense of Trump and made Mary a cause celebre in leftist circles.

A Long Overdue Comeuppance, An Open & Shut Case

The President makes some seriously devastating allegations in the 27-page lawsuit,

“The defendants engaged in an insidious plot to obtain confidential and highly-sensitive records which they exploited for their own benefit and utilized as a means of falsely legitimizing their publicized works. The defendants’ actions were motivated by a personal vendetta and their desire to gain fame, notoriety, acclaim, and a financial windfall and were further intended to advance their political agenda.”

Based upon reports from the Associated Press, the case seems to be a somewhat open and shut affair that could prove devastating to the family betraying Trump niece, “The Times’ story challenged Trump’s claims of self-made wealth by documenting how his father, Fred, had given him at least $413 million over the decades, including through tax avoidance schemes.”

And Then This Happened

“Mary Trump identified herself in a book published last year as the source of the documents provided to the Times.”

One of The New York Times employees named in the lawsuit, Susanne Craig, indirectly confirmed Mary Trump as her source in a Twitter reply to CNN’s Oliver Darcy Sep. 21st.

Actually Susanne that’s technically called a “hatchet job”, and it’s nothing resembling ‘journalism’ a set of ideals that hasn’t existed at the NYT in decades.
