As the debt crisis in this country gets closer and closer, Joe Biden continues to refuse to budge.
We have about two or three weeks before the country runs out of money, but Joe Biden is still posturing, telling House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) that he will not negotiate the debt ceiling.
McCarthy is holding firm that in order to get the debt ceiling raised, Joe Biden has to dial back his budget.
Still Not Talking
Biden has publicly stated that the debt ceiling should be raised… because he says so.
He says as long as McCarthy votes to raise the debt ceiling, he will negotiate the budget, but we all know that is a lie.
Biden has no intention on moving off his budget, so McCarthy has to use the leverage he has now to get Biden to cut that spending.
But, as we stated, Joe is still playing tough guy.
After the meeting with leadership of both parties, McCarthy stated, “I didn’t find progress in this meeting.
“Staff will continue to meet, and we’ll get back together on Friday, and hopefully the president then can change the path of the last 97 days.”
Translation, Biden’s people and McCarthy’s people are going to sit at a table and stare at each other until one of them blinks.
Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) is just as fed up as we are at this point…
Biden has one option… negotiate or be the sitting president when the US defaults and sends the world economy into a tailspin.
