The House

Meet the Newest Dem Election Denier

Nancy Pelosi’s reign may be at an end in the house but already the party is pushing for her successor. The front-runner for the Democratic party’s leadership in the House is Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). This is despite the fact that the left-leaning politician is an election denier.

Jeffries is a self-described far-left Democrat, before his stint in the murky waters of DC he was a lawyer in New York City. He appears to be working behind the scenes to win the Democrat House leadership position. He originally assumed office in 2013 and has served as the chair of the House Democrat Caucus since 2019.

Jeffries’ presumable succession is notable due to the fact Democrats and the establishment have continually labeled some Republican as election deniers. Like all things with the Democratic party, the same standard is applied to one of their own.

Jeffries, like many democrats, has vehemently denied the outcome of the 2016 election. In 2020, Jeffries tweeted that Trump “will never” be accepted “as a legitimate President.”

“Keep pouting. History will never accept you as a legitimate President,” he tweeted toward Trump.

He again tweeted in 2020, “let’s be clear Donald. The only person trying to steal the election is YOU. (and your buddies in the Kremlin),” pushing a false narrative that Trump won the White House due to Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

“The more we learn about the 2016 election the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes. America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office #RussianInterference,” he tweeted in 2018:

Jeffries claimed in 2018 that two Supreme Court seats were stolen because of Trump’s presidency.

“LIE (more than any administration in the history of the Republic.) CHEAT (2016 election/Russian Interference). STEAL (one or two Supreme Court seats). When will Republicans put the country ahead of party? #CleanUpCorruption,” he tweeted:

If Jeffries will be pitted against Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as House Speaker if he wins the leadership role.
