A Virginia Mom is accused of killing her two daughters and has been found guilty of both murders. However, it is what she did after that is truly chilling.
Virginia mom, 37-year-old Veronica Youngblood, was charged with killing her daughters Sharon Castro, 15, and Brooklynn Youngblood, 5, on Aug. 5, 2018.
The Washington Post reported that she had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

“This case goes well beyond merely having a mental illness,” Fairfax County Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Kelsey Gill said during closing arguments. “This goes well beyond depression. This goes well beyond PTSD. This goes well beyond being suicidal.”
The Prosecution argued in court that Veronica Youngblood murdered her children to get back at her ex-husband. It has been reported that the father of Brooklynn was allegedly scheduled to move out of the state with custody of the child.
The Virginia mom supposedly purchased the gun she used for the attacks nine days before the murders. The Post reported that on the day of the murders she gave her daughters sleeping pill gummies before she shot Brooklynn once in the head and Sharon twice.
In a chilling 911 call, it was revealed that Sharon held on long enough to call for help and talk to officers on the scene.
“She said her mom came into the room and said, ‘I’m gonna take you to see God,’ and then shot her,” an officer testified.
Five-year-old Brooklynn died on the scene.

Even more chilling is the fact that Veronica Youngblood called her ex-husband and left a voicemail telling him she loathed him. She allegedly admitted to the killings on the voicemail.
Youngblood’s attorney tries to make the case for some sympathy for the Virginia mom. He claimed she had been physically and sexually abused and was mentally unfit saying she was hearing voices that commanded her to kill her daughters.
However, the attorney’s ploy did not work as Veronica Youngblood was found guilty of the murder charges as well as gun charges the prosecution laid upon the murderous mother.
