A woman driving recklessly on the Bay Bridge in California set off a chaotic chain of events that ended with her firing a gun.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was receiving calls about the white Chevy sedan and reported that the woman had brandished a gun at one caller and then exited her vehicle while naked.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred around 4:40 pm when CHP started receiving calls about an erratic driver on eastbound Interstate 80 of the Bay Bridge.
One caller said that the woman, who was driving a white Chevy sedan, pointed a gun at them and then stopped her car to yell at other drivers on the roadway.
After re-entering her vehicle, she again stopped it just beyond the toll plaza where she exited completely nude before starting to fire her gun.
Fortunately, none of the vehicles were struck by gunfire but officers still told her multiple times to drop her firearm which she eventually did before being taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The incident caused severe traffic congestion as authorities worked quickly to investigate shooting during rush hour traffic.
CHP is actively investigating what could have caused this dangerous situation in order to determine the motives behind this woman’s actions.
This reckless driving incident escalated quickly due to one individual’s dangerous behavior which resulted in their arrest but thankfully no injuries were reported from this event.
