It turns out, there will be a challenger to Joe Biden in the upcoming election within the party.
Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) is launching a campaign for the 2024 election.
Phillips believes that liberal voters need a real alternative to Biden, so he will challenge his fellow Democrat in the primary race.

Phillips was expected to travel to New Hampshire to register on Friday, which was the last day to be put on the ballot.
Biden, however, never registered in New Hampshire because the DNC wanted Nevada to go first this year.
New Hampshire has been first in the nation for decades, and it does not want to give up that crown. (Technically, Iowa is first, but since it uses a caucus format, New Hampshire is the first “voting” race.)
The only way Biden can win New Hampshire now is for a massive write-in campaign to take place, so who knows what will happen there.
New Hampshire Secretary of State Dave Scanlan confirmed that Phillips was due in town, but not that he had scheduled a time to register.
He stated, “He has not actually scheduled a time with my office.
“I know that he has scheduled some space on the front lawn of the statehouse.”
It will be interesting to see if Phillips can get any momentum behind his campaign with only a few months left before people start heading to the polls.
