On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced that they had deported a Jordanian illegal alien terror suspect who crossed into the country through the northern border.
The illegal alien has been identified as 41-year-old Mohammad Hasan Abdellatif Albana. He was apprehended and identified as a known or suspected terrorist by U.S. Border Patrol agents while trying to cross into the United States illegally through the northern border near Lynden, Washington.

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division in Seattle, Washington, immediately assumed custody of Albana after he illegally entered the country. On November 15, following immigration proceedings, ERO Seattle removed Albana to deport him back to his home country of Jordan.
Field Office Director Drew H. Bostock issued in a statement about the arrest and deportation.
“ICE Seattle is committed to the removal of noncitizens who pose a risk to the national security of the US. Our officers perform these removals dutifully as a part of a federal law enforcement effort to protect Pacific Northwest Communities,” the statement read.
This news comes as illegal border crossings at the northern border have skyrocketed under the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies. According to The Post Millennial, “Illegal border crossings from Canada into Washington state are on pace to shatter last year’s record of men, women, and children attempting to illegally cross the northern border. Border Patrol agents have understaffed the area and illegal border crossers have taken advantage of the situation.”
Data from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shows that the northern border has seen a 550% increase in illegal border crossings in the 2023 fiscal year, with illegal immigration at higher rates at the northern borders of New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
The rise in illegal crossings through the U.S.-Canada border have included an increase in members of the violent Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua successfully entering the U.S. and even infiltrating an illegal alien camp near Seattle at the Riverton Park United Methodist Church.
On the condition of anonymity, one border agent revealed that the northern border has become extremely vulnerable to illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human trafficking because the majority of resources have been focused on the southern border crisis.
Meanwhile, the Canadian government has already tentatively agreed to aid President-elect Donald Trump in his efforts to crack down on illegal border crossings after Trump threatened to impose 25% tariffs on Canadian products.
