Border Patrol agents are a very unique breed in the mission that the sign up for.
This is the ultimate in patriotism in terms of a domestic agency… protecting the border from foreign invaders.
Only their purpose has been taken away from them and with Title 42 about to be ended, they feel as though they have been completely defeated.
What is the Point?
National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd stated, “We feel completely and totally defeated.
“You can go to any station right now, and there’s just not a whole lot of talk among agents.
“It used to be that there was a lot of camaraderie, a lot of joking, people just pretty happy doing their jobs now.
“There’s just nothing.”
He added, “We just feel, we all feel just completely defeated, like there’s just no point in doing our jobs.
“We still do it, don’t get me wrong.
“We still go do our job, but we just feel like there’s just absolutely no point.
“And so it’s just really bad.”
When you take someone’s purpose, you take their heart.
Just imagine how hard it will be to recruit new agents who know the agency they loved and wanted to become a part of has had its heart ripped right out from its chest.
