These two legendary actresses decided to take a stand against the woke Hollywood culture that promotes far-left people and causes. This move could be seen as both brave and risky given the potential backlash.
In Hollywood, it can be hard to find celebrities who oppose the dominant views of the industry. However, two actresses have recently made waves by going against the grain: Goldie Hawn and Rosanna Arquette.
At 76 years old, award-winning actress Goldie Hawn has achieved something rare among Hollywood actors – she’s managed to stay away from politics. She believes that entertainers should “serve” all people rather than taking sides on political issues.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly, she discussed why she thinks it’s not wise for Hollywood stars to lecture middle America about morality. She also expressed her belief that trying to create teams on either side of the aisle only leads to more polarity. According to Hawn, what really matters is entertaining people and creating emotion in them – a role which actors are uniquely able to fulfill.
62-year-old actress Rosanna Arquette gave herself a wake-up call when she posted her support for recalling Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon on Instagram. Although many celebrities supported this cause, very few of Arquette’s followers did; her post received only 20 likes.
Nevertheless, with violent crime rising in LA, some citizens see recalling Gascon as common sense – regardless of whether or not they agree with other Hollywood stars about his replacement topics like gun control or abortion rights.
It is refreshing to see famous actors such as Goldie Hawn and Rosanna Arquette break ranks from their peers by speaking out against popular opinions within Hollywood circles – even if they do so in different ways.
It is also encouraging that at least one celebrity (Ricky Gervais) is willing to remind his fellow stars that they know “nothing about the real world” and therefore shouldn’t be using their platform as a way to preach their own ideologies or agendas onto others who may not share their beliefs or values.
