Nassau County, NY, made quite a mistake on voter registration cards.
The entire county showed up registered as Democrats.
As soon as the cards were received, the county offices start to blow up with phone calls.
Oops
You just cannot help but wonder how these inept officials continue to get jobs.
How does someone not see this mistake before sending out all of those ID cards?
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman stated, “We’re already starting to get phone calls from people, saying ‘I’m a registered Republican, I’m a registered Conservative – how come I’m being identified as a Democrat?
“’Who changed my registration?’
“And they’re quite upset about it.”
“There’s a lot of confusion, there’s a lot of people emotionally upset about this.”
Of course they are made when you consider what has happened since 2020.
The county officials blamed the printing company for the mistake, but I would still put this on county officials for not at least spot-checking the cards.
With voters more suspicious than ever about the security of our elections, these mistakes simply cannot happen.
