It’s been well documented that there is an ever-growing mountain of evidence that demonstrates former President Donald Trump was the target of a coordinated effort between the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and the White House.

We now know from The New York Post that on March 31, nine weeks before Trump was indicted, Special Counsel Jack Smith had met with Caroline Saba, deputy chief of staff for the White House counsel’s office, along with FBI agent Danielle Ray from Washington field office.

This came after another meeting between Bratt and Saba at the White House in November 2021 regarding investigations involving presidential records stored at Mar-a-Lago.

Then, in June 2022, Bratt visited Mar-a-Lago to inspect storage facilities and speak to Trump himself.

The Washington Post also reported in March that Jay Bratt “advocated seeking a judge’s warrant for an unannounced search at the property to quickly recover any sensitive documents still there.”

Stanley Woodward – lawyer for Trump’s valet Walt Nauta – stated that Bratt implied his application for a judge position could be looked more favorably upon if he were willing to cooperate against Trump.

Finally, Katherine Reily – advisor to the Chief of Staff office – held yet another meeting with Bratt however, neither party has commented on it thus far.

All these meetings have left Republicans wondering why exactly was Bratt taking all those meetings while investigating his political opponent?

Peter Carr – spokesman for Jack Smith– said it was because he was there for a “case related interview.”

This makes sense as one would expect someone involved in such an investigation would need access to information or insight only available through representatives associated with the White House itself; but is this enough?

While we can’t definitively answer why these meetings took place without further comment from either party involved, we can certainly raise questions about their motives when taken into consideration alongside other evidence presented so far.
