The new National Security Strategy released by the Biden-Harris regime has been touted as one that focuses on China, Russia, cooperating with Europe and other global democracies. However, buried on page 31 of the 48-page document we found it: Just over 200 words devoted to “domestic violent extremists.” And we have every reason to be extremely concerned.
The trouble starts under the heading “Terrorism” on page 30, when the Biden regime discusses “sharply increased
threats from a range of domestic violent extremists here in the United States,” practically in the same breath as “Al-Qa‘ida, ISIS, and associated forces,” still festering in Syria, Yemen, and Somalia.
The Biden strategy regarding “domestic violent extremists,” reads:
“We face an increased and significant threat within the United States from a range of domestic violent extremists, including those motivated by racial or ethnic prejudice, as well as anti-government or anti-authority sentiment.
Continuing to implement our first-ever National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism will enable us to better understand and share information regarding the domestic terrorist threat, prevent recruitment and mobilization to violence, and disrupt and deter domestic terrorist activity and any transnational linkages—all while reinforcing respect for civil rights and civil liberties.
Already, we are providing more and better information on domestic violent extremist threats to state, local, territorial, and tribal partners, and using new mechanisms, such as smartphone-based applications, to do so in real time. We are investing millions of dollars in data-driven violence prevention efforts, including through grant programs available to Federal, state, territorial, tribal, and nonprofit partners, as well as to houses of worship as they face increased threats.
We are working with like-minded governments, civil society, and the technology sector to address terrorist and violent extremist content online, including through innovative research collaborations.
And we are confronting the long-term contributors to domestic violent extremist threats, including working with Congress to advance commonsense gun laws and policies, and addressing the crisis of disinformation and misinformation, often channeled through social and other media platforms, that can fuel extreme polarization and lead some individuals to violence.”
There are a two major takeaways laced into the section.
- “We are investing millions of dollars in data-driven violence prevention efforts.” This coming from a government that is currently being sued by Two state Attorneys General for their collusion with big tech to censor the public during COVID-19 is highly concerning. The Biden-Harris regime has already been dumping huge sums into “data-driven” efforts to control public discourse, so what does doubling down on that look like?
- “We are working with like-minded governments, civil society, and the technology sector to address terrorist and violent extremist content online, including through innovative research collaborations.” See the previous point only with a kicker: “like-minded governments?” So not only is the U.S. Government engaging in actively suppressing dissent among Americans, but now they’re involving foreign powers?!?
The fact that this isn’t making headline news across the country only illustrates how deeply the mainstream media is committed to avoiding the conversation. The Reuters write-up of the new strategy’s release doesn’t say a word about this.
