I always found it amusing how Christ Christie turned on Trump.
He campaigned for Trump, worked on his transition team, and then he got snubbed for a cabinet position.
I believe Christie was seeking, at the very least, to be the attorney general, and when he did not get it, he went nuclear on Trump.
To the point now that when he was asked if he would pardon Trump, he said no.
Not Happening
Not that Christie has a shot at winning this election, but if he did, Trump would get no mercy from him.
Christie stated that “someone’s got to stop normalizing this conduct.”
On what he would need to see for a pardon, he added, “It should be used with mercy and reason.
“And there’s no reason to show mercy on Donald Trump, when he doesn’t even want to admit that anything he did was wrong.”
Now, Christie is not going to win this election, with or without Donald Trump.
However, it is pretty obvious that Christie is now coddling up to Ron DeSantis.
Keep in mind here, if Trump is found guilty in the classified documents case, he will be disqualified from the election.
If he is found guilty in the Georgia election case, he would likely be in jail before the first votes are cast.
If Christie happens to have any input, that is right where he will stay.
DeSantis has been skirting this issue, but if Trump is found guilty, believe me, this will be a very hot topic, with Trump supporters immediately getting behind the candidate that would pardon Trump.
