Country music legend Alan Jackson really can do it all: not only is he a wonderful musician, songwriter and vocalist, he also is a father. And since he doesn’t spend much time in the spotlight, one of his daughters has come forward to reveal what most of us has suspected about him this whole time.
Country music legend, Alan Jackson, has made a name for himself in the industry with his impressive resume. With several Grammy Awards, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, a membership in the Grand Ole Opry and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame under his belt, he is an icon among country music fans.
Nevertheless, no greater honor can be bestowed upon him than what was shared by his daughter on social media.
Alan Jackson humbly admitted to Rolling Stone that even though he’s accomplished a great deal in his career, he still doesn’t feel worthy of such honors. He continued “I’ve always tried to make music the first priority – not being a star or being in the spotlight, just trying to make music that I loved, that the fans like, and not compromise that to fit into something else.”
His accolades are well-deserved; as pointed out by Wikipedia, Jackson has had 66 titles on Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart with 38 reaching top five status and 35 claiming number one spot. Not to mention 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards and two Grammy Awards among many other awards.
All these achievements have resulted in him becoming one of the biggest stars in country music selling over 80 million records worldwide.
Ali (short for Alexandria Jane) is one of three daughters Alan shares with wife Denise who is also his high school sweetheart. She wrote a touching tribute to her father on social media where she revealed that despite what world sees him as -a great musician, impressive songwriter and talented vocalist- she sees him as her best friend who taught her how important it is to treat people right and stand up for oneself.
To her dad she said “You’re every daughter’s dream father. Thank you for raising us in a house filled with Jesus and music”.
It’s clear that Alan’s biggest fan has no doubt about how deserving he is of all this recognition. While we should admire Alan Jackson’s musical accomplishments they pale in comparison when compared to his devotion towards family which Ali so proudly displayed on social media.
