A pair of armed invaders got a load of lead instead of the booty they were expecting to burgle. The incident happened Friday night in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The violent criminals thought they had enough weaponry to keep the situation well in hand but didn’t realize how deadly the vigilant homeowner was. Holding a gun on his son was bad enough but the bleepards tased his dog.

Homeowner armed, too

One of the two armed home invaders was sentenced to death on the spot. The other managed to get far enough away to survive, and he’s currently in custody. According to Murfreesboro Police Department, Clifford Wright and Kevin Ford “allegedly broke into the house through the front door wearing masks and gloves.

The first thing they did inside the house was tase the family dog. That wasn’t nice.

The next thing they did was hold “the homeowner’s teenage son at gunpoint.” That should have kept dad from getting cute, but it didn’t. Totally disregarding the gun pointed right at his son, the equally armed homeowner “then allegedly shot the intruders.

The unnamed hostage is thankful to be alive. He was as surprised as his attackers when dad turned into Dirty Harry.

As explained by the MPD Criminal Investigations Division, “detectives are investigating a home invasion where the homeowner shoots two intruders, killing one and injuring the other on Friday night.

At 52-years-old, Kevin Ford was a little old to be out pulling an armed robbery job. He won’t be collecting a pension, pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges for homeowner

Police note that from what they’ve seen so far, everything matches up with the story and the well armed homeowner was simply exercising his Second Amendment rights to defend himself and his family. They’re overlooking the way he endangered his son.

It’s not easy to kill someone with a pistol pointed at a hostage. A reflex could easily pull the trigger. One thing’s for sure, dad demonstrated excellent gun control.

Police confirm that when they arrived, they found Ford near the front door where all the action happened. Both were wearing ski masks and were armed so can’t claim they were there for innocent purposes.

Ford had been well ventilated with “numerous gunshot wounds.” His partner didn’t make it far.

Clifford Wright “managed to flee the scene despite his injuries.” After he was stitched up and stabilized at the hospital, police took the armed bandit down for booking.

He’s looking at “charges of firearm possession as a convicted felon and during a violent felony, aggravated burglary.” They also added “attempted aggravated robbery” for bonus points. The homeowner, police confirm, “is not facing any charges.
