A shocking report from a House subcommittee has revealed that the Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security released at least 99 illegal aliens on the “terrorist watchlist” into the United States.

Since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office in January 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) created a massive Catch and Release network that is designed to funnel thousands of illegal aliens into communities across the U.S. while they await deportation hearings, though many illegals simply disappear and skip those hearings.

The House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement released a bombshell interim staff report revealing that the DHS released at least 99 illegal aliens on the U.S. government’s terror watchlist from fiscal years 2021 to 2023. The list specifically includes foreign nationals directly involved in terrorism, as well as those who have a connection to terrorism.

“Under the Biden-Harris administration, of the more than 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist who were encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, DHS has released into American communities at least 99, with at least 34 others in DHS custody but not yet removed from the United States,” the report states.

The subcommittee goes on to explain that there are many other illegal aliens that could potentially be tied to terrorism or pose other security risks, especially those from nations that are U.S. adversaries and areas known for terrorism.

“Between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, Border Patrol at the southwest border encountered aliens on the terrorist watchlist from 36 different countries, including places with an active terrorist presence such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Yemen,” the report states.

“So far during fiscal year 2024, Border Patrol has encountered tens of thousands of illegal aliens nationwide from countries that could present national security risks, including 2,134 Afghan nationals, 33,347 Chinese nationals, 541 Iranian nationals, 520 Syrian nationals, and 3,104 Uzbek nationals,” the report continues.

The document also cites reports that circulated in June revealing that federal agents had arrested eight Tajikistani illegal aliens connected to ISIS after they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border. According to the report, three of those ISIS-connected illegal aliens had been released into the U.S. thanks to the Biden-Harris administration’s “CBP One” app, which they used to schedule appointments to be released into the country.

The GOP-led subcommittee goes on to condemn Biden and Harris for allowing the historic invasion of the southern border to continue, especially in light of terrorism concerns.

“The open-borders policies of President Joe Biden and border czar Vice President Kamala Harris have allowed millions of illegal aliens to enter the United States, including terrorist organizations and other bad actors looking to harm Americans,” the report states.

The subcommittee also laid blame on federal immigration judges, noting in the report that at least 27 illegal aliens from the terror watchlist were allowed to bond out of DHS detention in fiscal years 2021-2023 thanks to these judges.

“Additionally, immigration judges granted asylum to at least four watchlisted aliens, with at least two additional known or suspected terrorists having their cases terminated by an immigration judge,” the report adds.

Also cited in the report was the case of 48-year-old illegal alien Mohammad Kharwin, an Afghan national and member of terror group Hezb-e-Islami who was arrested by federal agents in April after being released into the U.S. twice. Kharwin, who first crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in March 2023 and was almost immediately released into the U.S., was taken into federal custody in March 2024. He was then allowed to bond out of DHS detention, but was ultimately rearrested after the public outcry following reports on the issue.

“In three-and-a-half years, the Biden-Harris administration has released more than 5.4 million illegal aliens into the United States, with an additional at least 1.9 million known ‘gotaways’ escaping into the country,” the report states.

“Among those more than 7.3 million illegal aliens are 375 illegal aliens on the U.S. government’s terrorist watchlist who have been apprehended by Border Patrol under President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’s watch,” the report adds. “That is a more than 3,000 percent increase of watchlisted alien encounters compared to all four years of the Trump administration.”
