On August 29, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has announced the suspension of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination via Twitter.
In his post, he expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him on the journey.

In his statement, Suarez spoke fondly of Miami and the successes that have been accomplished during his tenure as mayor.
He believes that these success stories can be replicated across the entire nation, allowing every community to benefit from them.
It’s no surprise that he wants to showcase this city as a shining example of what is possible when everyone works together.
Suarez was also vocal about the need for more representation from Hispanics within the Republican Party, citing them as “the fastest growing voting group” in America.
He called out Democrats for taking their votes for granted and urged Republicans to make an effort to engage with this demographic if they want their support.
Furthermore, Suarez did not shy away from criticizing current administration policies such as inflation, interest rates, border security, and rising crime rates – calling out that citizens deserve better than what is currently being offered by leaders in Washington DC.
Finally, despite stepping back from running himself, Suarez was adamant about finding a strong unifying figure who can bring hope and inspiration back into politics while still staying true to conservative values so dearly held by many Republicans today.
He mentioned wanting to stay in touch with other candidates running and doing whatever he can do ensure the party nominates someone who fits these criteria.
