People were invited to a funeral and mayhem broke out.
According to reports, someone tried to rush the Queen’s casket while she lay in state.
There was also reportedly a sexual assault of two women waiting in line.
Not exactly the type of behavior we would expect from those fine folks across the pond.
Lunacy
Scotland Yard confirmed, “Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command detained a man in Westminster Hall following a disturbance.”
He was “arrested for an offence [sic] under the Public Order Act and is currently in custody.”
Authorities did not offer any insight as to why he charged the coffin, but some onlookers did.
They believed he was trying to steal the flag draped over the coffin.
I guess he thought it would fetch a nice price on eBay.
On a far more serious note, two women were reportedly sexually assaulted while waiting in line.
Authorities reported that the man is in custody.
The line is enormous, with an almost 24-hour wait to pay respects.
If you were wondering about the cost of this little show, they are spending $7.5 million in security alone, so a safe estimate is about $10 million on the conservative side.
This will be the priciest funeral in the country’s history at a time it is reeling economically.
