Dem Staffer: ‘Open The Border,’ ‘I Don’t Give A Sh—t’

A Democrat staffer who has worked for multiple congressional candidates was caught on undercover video calling for the U.S. to “open the f—ing border” because he doesn’t “give a sh—t who comes in here.”

The staffer has been identified as Kevin Oyakawa, who was hired by the Ohio Coordinated Campaign to reelect Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-OH), along with several other down-ballot Democrat candidates.

During a conversation with a volunteer earlier this month, Oyakawa was heard declaring his support for open borders, claiming that the only reason open borders is a “losing issue” for Democrats is because of “racism.”

“Like me, I’m out there, like open the f—ing border, I don’t give a sh—t who comes in here,” the Democrat staffer was heard saying on the video, which went viral on social media on October 28.

“We don’t need border patrol but, [the] issue with even talking about immigration here in Ohio is that it’s a losing issue for Democrats here, for like no f*cking reason other than people’s pure racism,” Oyakawa added.

The Democrat staffer then goes on to explain that the reason why it’s “really hard to find anything about like where she [Sykes] stands on it” is because, “in terms of the way that she talks with the public, if she has to start talking about immigration, she starts losing.”

After the bombshell undercover video went viral, Oyakawa deleted his LinkedIn page, but not before Fox News confirmed that the page described him as a regional organizing director in Ohio for the Ohio Democrat Party.

Oyakawa is also plainly visible in social media photos helping both the Sykes campaign and the Brown campaign, with his since-deleted Facebook post revealing that he is “responsible for leading a team of field organizers on day to day operations of the campaign” in Summit and Stark counties.

Fox News also obtained a statement from the Sykes campaign, in which they desperately try to portray her as a supporter of border security in the aftermath of this bombshell undercover video.

“Congresswoman Emilia Sykes has worked to deliver increased funding to help secure our border and stop the flow of illegal drugs like fentanyl. She also cosponsored the bipartisan Dignity Act that would address border security and infrastructure, all while her opponent Kevin Coughlin uses the border to play politics,” the Sykes campaign told the outlet.
