FBI Agents went to a lot of effort raiding the Texas home of Democrat lawmaker Henry Cuellar. Nobody is saying a whole lot about what they’re looking for or why, but CNN is already isolating him into political quarantine by describing him as a “moderate” Democrat. Obviously, he’s been brainwashed by Republicans, they imply.
FBI all over the place
FBI swarmed in on Wednesday and everyone is still pleading the fifth on Thursday. The local media were first to pick up the story, reporting on the evening of January 19 that “federal agents were at the home of Representative Henry Cuellar” and they were “conducting official law enforcement activity.”
That means somebody committed some sort of federal crime and they think the Texas lawmaker has evidence to prove it.
The FBI didn’t state what their instigators were up to at the home, “other than ‘conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity.’”
That signifies the bureau already convinced a judge that there is something to go fishing for. They just don’t want to talk about it, yet. They blabber like schoolgirls, when they want to, but suddenly they’re standing on protocol.
FBI spokesperson Rosanne Hughes flatly told the press that the bureau “cannot provide further comment on an ongoing investigation.”
You can bet that they would make some sort of comment if it had been a conservative target. Even the leaking rats have been strangely silent.

Fully cooperating
Rep. Cuellar is just as anxious to find out what the FBI was looking for as the public, his office says. They issued a statement Wednesday night noting “Congressman Cuellar will fully cooperate in any investigation. He is committed to ensuring that justice and the law are upheld.”
That’s a good position for a lawmaker to take, so many times these days we hear, especially from Democrats, all the ways they think they are above the law. That must be why CNN calls him a DINO.
Investigative reporter Valerie Gonzalez was at the scene to take pictures of what the feds were up to. Apparently they were there for a while. “FBI still present at the home” she tweeted. “Agents are still in and around the home. Some more showed up a few moments ago. Can’t see what’s happening inside but some agents came outside with a clipboard and camera to snap pics of the two trucks out front.”
Gonzalez couldn’t tell if any humans were home but noted that “the dogs are watching.” By “around 7:30 p.m., a group of agents loaded large bags, plastic bins, and a computer into a federal vehicle. Others appeared to be logging the items.”
CNN managed to reveal on Thursday that the “FBI also searched a second building housing his campaign office.” They also found out that “The Department of Justice’s Public Integrity unit is involved in the investigation.”
They had a hard time chasing down a rat to inform their story but “a source familiar with the matter” told them that. The “public integrity section handles cases involving elected officials, including campaign finance and other investigations.“
